A death
The absence of a loved one changes the world you knew.
THE 11 PRINCIPLES OF TRANSFORMATIONÂź
A path based on The 11 Principles of TransformationÂź,
a methodology created by Ligia M. Houben.
Transform your loss. Transform your life.
Discover the Path âAnd even though you try to move forward, you feel unable to. You feel stuck, unsure how to live with this new reality.
But feeling stuck does not mean you have to remain there.
There is a path you can begin to walk, and it starts by acknowledging your grief and making space for what you are experiencing.
UNDERSTAND
It is not a sign of weakness and it does not follow a schedule. It is the human way of adapting when a person, a relationship, an ability, or an important stage of life is no longer the way it was before.
The absence of a loved one changes the world you knew.
A divorce or breakup also means saying goodbye to an imagined future.
A diagnosis can transform your relationship with your body and time.
Losing a job, a career, or a project affects identity and belonging.
Moving to another country, retiring, or entering a new stage of life can bring losses that often go unrecognized.
WHY THE METHOD EXISTS
The 11 Principles of TransformationÂź were created as a way to understand loss through a deeper and more human perspective. Each principle builds on the one before it, and together they form a structured path that allows us to move forward in our transformation process.
They are not rigid steps or stages that we must complete in a specific way. They are principles that offer a perspective and a tool to support us through different moments of the process.
Each principle invites us to deepen our experience, respecting our story, our pace, and our personal way of experiencing loss and transformation.
From grief to transformation
A guide to accompany you from the pain of loss toward a life of meaning and purpose.
Recognizing the reality of what happened is the first step toward beginning to move through your grief and opening yourself to the process of transformation.
Grief needs to be felt, not managed. Give it space instead of suppressing it.
Discover spiritual tools that can help you find peace, hope, and meaning.
Naming what you feel allows it to stop directing everything from silence. Expressing what we carry inside can help us better understand our experience and move forward in the process of transformation.
You were never meant to carry this alone. Genuine support changes how loss feels.
Learn to pay attention to your needs and develop positive habits.
Small intentional acts of remembrance give your loss a place of its own. Rituals can help us honor what we have experienced, express our feelings, and find a meaningful way to relate to the loss.
Healing does not require forgetting the past or rushing the future. It asks you to be present in the here and now.
The stories we tell ourselves about loss shape how we experience it. Modifying our thoughts allows us to change how we interpret what happened and open ourselves to new possibilities.
Loss transforms your life. Integrating what you have experienced allows you to find new meaning, allows you to find meaning, and make room for new possibilities.
What we have experienced can inspire us to find a deeper purpose and give our life a new direction.

I am the creator of The 11 Principles of TransformationÂź. This method was born from a personal experience that marked my life and from years supporting people through different experiences of loss.
After losing my father when I was twelve years old, I began a journey of understanding grief and life transitions. Over time, that experience became a methodology created to support others from a more human, deep, and structured perspective.
The 11 Principles of TransformationÂź were first introduced in my book Transform Your Loss: An Anthology of Strength and Hope, a work dedicated to sharing a perspective of understanding, strength, and hope when facing experiences of loss.
As a thanatologist and certified grief and life transitions coach, I have dedicated my professional journey to supporting people through moments of transformation.
My methodology is based on evidence, specialized training, and professional experienceânot on clichĂ©s or one size fits all answers.
